About Time

In the late 90's there was a bunch of guys skating around Wollongong called "100MPH" crew. All of them killed it with a no nonsense, not giving a shit, approach to skateboarding. Around the same time there was a local clothing company called "Ridicule" that was run by Matt White. Matt hooked up with "100MPH" crew and started filming for a video. After quite a lengthy process, and even the demise of "Ridicule", the aptly titled "About Time" vid came out.

Wollongong has many rippers over the years, and as its also quite a tight scene, that it also became a time capsule of sorts with lots of footage from older crew. Nathan Dents switch flip over the small hip at Fairy Meadow, seen in one of the friends section's, may be the best trick to go down there to date! And no gong video would be complete without Barry Strachan's flow, style and trick selection. A lot of respect goes to Matt White and Jai Terry who put a crazy amount of time and effort into the whole production. I think it has to be one of the most slept on Australian skate vids to come out in the last 10 years.

This is Steve Allens part from the video. It really shows how much of a maniac, in every sense of the word, he is.
Hell yeah Stib!
